Chairman’s message

I am truly honoured to serve as Chairman of the inaugural Valve World Calgary Expo & Conference. Calgary is a key oil and gas hub in North America, yet has not previously hosted a dedicated flow control event. I am therefore especially excited to help bring Valve World—an event renowned for its focus on personal interaction and knowledge exchange—to our city.

Our aim with this event is to expand and strengthen our professional community by engaging a new market, fostering connections, and sharing valuable expertise. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the latest valve innovations and emerging sealing technologies, with insights spanning maintenance, optimal operation, practical solutions, repair, and reconditioning. Whether through attending presentations or networking with service providers, OEMs, and end users, I believe this event will deliver meaningful benefits to professionals from all areas of the industry.

Canada is the fifth-largest producer of crude oil and natural gas globally, with Alberta at the heart of that production. Calgary hosts the head offices of many major companies across the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors. With such a wealth of local expertise, I am confident we can establish a strong, locally driven steering committee to guide this event and ensure its success.

I look forward to connecting with both familiar and new colleagues, sharing experiences, and building lasting professional relationships.
